I went and heard Jeff Smith, the wonderful artist and creator of Bone, get interviewed by Scott McCloud today at the Wexner Center in support of his exhibition, Jeff Smith, Bone and Beyond. If you have any opportunity to go and hear him speak, make sure to take advantage of it...he's a charming guy with a wonderful attitude and outlook on the world of comic books. And while you may have missed your opportunity to do so today, he mentioned that he would be at the Terry Moore Interview on May 15 (another charming, talented comic creator!) and "A Looney Tunes Evening with Jeff Smith" on June 5, in which Jeff will introduce some of his favorite Bugs Bunny cartoons and discuss how they influenced his work!

At the very least, make sure to swing by and visit the exhibition of his work. It's really wonderful to see it up close (I especially loved seeing all the white out over his inking mistakes! It's nice to know that even someone as talented as Jeff isn't perfect!)

Welcome to the forum, Popmatic!

Thanks for telling us about your time at the Wex. I am also a Jeff Smith fan and comic book nerd so I definitely plan to go to the exhibit too! I'm rereading through the Bone epic as we speak.

I can't wait to see the exhibit up close & personal! I was going to walk there today but I think the weather might keep me from it! I hope to get there on Tuesday.

Thanks, Lisa! I'm a HUGE fan of your blog...follow it daily. It's tipped me off to all kinds of fun Columbus activities! Thank you so much for it!

Just wondered, are you also a fan of Strangers in Paradise and Terry Moore? That's who my wife is looking forward to seeing the most...she loves Katchoo and Francine, and refers to Terry Moore as her "comic book Joss Whedon"...which is, for her, the highest of compliments!
