| Is anyone biking to work next week? I live on the Southern edge of Clintonville and work downtown so it wouldn't be too huge of a ride for me. That being said, I don't know how safe I feel riding my bike at 7 a.m. or 5 p.m. with all the crazy traffic. Am I being too paranoid? I've had bottles thrown at me and people telling me to "get the f#$* out of the road" and the usual honking cars. Which is a better route: High Street or Summit/3rd? I'm thinking High Street but who knows?! Maybe I'll get the courage to try once next week.

I live in SoHud, and am also a little leary about "city" cycling. I grew up in the country and am still really nervous about biking in the big city, although I love biking. The other thing is that, with my hours, I would be going home at night, uphill, in the dark.
I guess my instinct would be that High street would be safer, just because the lights make the traffic slower, I would be nervous on Summit with everyone going 45 and then downtown when everyone is changing lanes willy-nilly. But, I am probably not the best person to ask. We need to get Patrice over here to give you some advice (http://takewrning.blogspot.com/) that girl bikes everywhere. Blizzard and all. _________________ http://www.restaurantwidow.com

| Thanks for the link. It turns out my bike is in the shop this week and I won't be able to get it back until next Saturday...go figure! Maybe someday I'll be brave enough to ride to work.
